There are always plenty of things to do in this part of North Carolina. Even in the off season for tourism, Emerald Isle has plenty to do. Here are a few events that are scheduled: |

March 15, 2008 - Emerald Isle, NC St. Patrick’s Festival: There will be plenty of arts and crafts, rides, a climbing wall and lots more family-oriented activities. Oh, and there will be plenty of food! |

May 15, 2008 - Beach Jive After Five: If music on the beach is your type of thing, don't miss the Emerald Isle Beach Jive After Five. Bring your beach chair or blanket and even your dinner and listen to live music on the beach. |

June 6 - June 14 - Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament: One of the biggest events in the country for sport-fishing is the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament. Nine days in June with about 200 competitors and plenty of spectators. Click here to visit Website. |

June 14, 2008 - The Emerald Isle Summer Series 4 v 4 Beach Volleyball Tournaments. This is an open gender tournament for players 16 years old and up. |

June 27 - June 28 - Beaufort Old Homes & Gardens Tour. Take a short drive to quaint Beaufort, NC and go on a self-paced tour of one of North Carolina's oldest towns. As you meander through this historic town, you will be able to tour private residences and gardens. There will also be historic demonstrations and even an antique car show. June 27 - June 29 - On your way back to Emerald Isle from Beaufort, stop by the Crystal Coast Civic Center in Morehead City where you will see antiques from over 40 dealers. Visit the website for more details. |
